Lauri and Gabriel dressed for their big event at the US Grant Hotel in the heart of downtown San Diego.  Photographer Scott Draper captured the cool, classic flavor of the mid 1900’s in this black and white image of Lauri and Gabe posed in the lobby.

They created these beautiful bouquets themselves!

The groom poses…or is it a cast member from Mad Men??

They take a quick pit stop at Mission Beach.

Set in rich landscape and finely manicured gardens, Lauri and Gabe were married at  The Prado Restaurant, at the historic House of Hospitality in Balboa Park.

The event was catered by The Prado Restaurant.

Guests of all ages had fun playing with bubbles as they said goodbye to the newlyweds.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Smith!

Ventana Photography had the privilege of being part of Rachel and Tommy’s beachfront wedding held at the scenic Catamaran Hotel and Resort. They literally kicked off their shoes for this occasion, happily  digging their toes into the sand. What a great alternative to sore feet at the end of the night!

The entire event was marvelously spearheaded by Gina Hundley, owner and lead consultant of San Diego Weddings by Gina. She created a veritable tropical paradise for these two lovebirds, working with the couple to create their dream wedding.

The Flower Girls designed the florals, using lush, rich tropical flowers. I love the bride’s bouquet. It’s so striking with its variety of solid red blossoms against the white and sky blue colors of the bridal party.

Flour Power can be counted on for any theme!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Quapp!

I met  Adria and Erik back in March when they came in for their engagement viewing. We had a wonderful time looking through the photos taken in and around their home and stables where they board their horse, Versace S. Take a peek at the blog post dated 3.29.11.

Their wedding, held at the exquisite  Estancia La Jolla and unparalleled in terms of elegance and beauty, was the perfect backdrop for their affair. Still, the surroundings hold a comfortable atmosphere that fits the style of the couple. With coordinator Mary Noble of Classic Weddings at the helm, every detail of their wedding was perfectly planned and executed. From the stunning floral arrangements provided by Botanica to the detailed and delicious looking  cakes made by Michele Coulon, this was a day to be remembered by all.

What girl wouldn’t want a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes for her wedding day?

The unmistakable styling of Vera Wang purchased from bliss bride.

Erik can’t resist showing a little bit of his quirky style through his footwear!

These guys will definitely get to the church on time!

but just to be sure…

I love the green and orange color scheme, perfect for an outdoor summer wedding.

A perfect candid moment…

A proud father…

Succulents for everyone!

Not to be outdone by the men, the ladies kick their Choos off…

The guests have fun dancing to the beat of the James Gang Band.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Pederson!

Rachel and Patrick tied the knot at the lush and tropical Paradise Point Resort on Mission Bay Beach.

Rachel was simply elegant in her Paloma Blanca Dress from Here Comes the Bride

The Wedding Party had a great time posing for Taylor.

The flowers, designed by Stacie Barba of A Day of Elegance, were stunning in this island-like setting. Her attention to detail made the entire ceremony a sight to behold.

It was a  traditional Jewish ceremony, incorporating such customs as the bride circling groom and the breaking of glass.

Flour Power created a delicious looking cake…

…and it looks like the groom really gave the bride a good taste of it!

Led by Wayne Foster Entertainment, the family and guests had a ball dancing and and “getting into character” with wild costume pieces.

What a happy and beautiful couple. Congratulations Rachel and Patrick!

The Martin Johnson House was the perfect venue for this intimate wedding. This historic cottage sits right on the cliffs overlooking La Jolla Shores and the view is spectacular!

The bride was glowing as she primped for her big day at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel.

Valerie’s dress was designed by Paloma Blanca from Here Comes the Bride.

Shoes by Manolo Blahnik.

The charming and gracious groom…

‘I Like You’ by Sandol Stoddard Warburg was read during the ceremony, a simple story of friendship.

These Lovebirds make a beautiful pair!

One way the couple infused Valerie’s Mexican heritage into the wedding was a traditional Mariachi Band. Celieto Lindo delighted the guests with lively music after the ceremony.

Valerie had a strong vision for the design of the reception. With the help of The Floral Department her vision was brought to life. The guests were given clever and unique gifts of their own particular spice as they entered the dining area. The table setting, with burlap table cloths and delicious smelling herb bundles gave the dining room an earthy and rustic feel. The dinner was catered by Waters Fine Catering.

Jon swept Valerie off her feet with the Bride and Grooms First Dance. They really know how to put on a show!

I was moved by the speech Jon gave to his guests at the reception. He spoke of how he and Valerie went about choosing the guest list. He said they wrote down the names of their family and closest friends…and they stopped right there.

Thank you, Valerie and Jon for letting us be a part of your day. ~ Congratulations!

It was a beautiful sunny day for Meaghan and Michael’s outdoor wedding at Seagrove Park in Del Mar, the perfect complement to their charming bright yellow color scheme which was incorporated into the wedding in so many clever ways, thanks to Stacie Barba founder and owner of A Day of Elegance, who coordinated the entire event.

The cheery tone was set by the stunning yellow florals designed by Botanica, but you couldn’t help but smile when the bride showed off her fabulous lemon yellow Kate Spade shoes  hidden under her gown…

…or when the little ones sat down to enjoy their big yellow lollies. What a great way to keep the kids entertained!

The reception was held at  L’Auberge Del Mar, where Meaghan and Micheal  expressed their personality with fun party favors by  Paker’s Crazy Cookies and a trendy cupcake wedding cake baked by Cupcake Love.

The guests had a ball with the photo booth and DJ Effran kept the party going with great music and excellent emcee skills.

~ Congrats Meaghan and Michael!

Congratulations Tammy and Brent for tying the knot last weekend at The Thursday Club. This fun loving couple brought a lot of excitement to their reception with crazy props and masks to entertain their guests in the photo booth. This wedding was filled with a variety of organic elements from the wood stump for the cake to the glass jars filled with garden flowers. What a fun and unique wedding. Thanks for sharing your day with us!
