Ventana Photography had the privilege of being part of Rachel and Tommy’s beachfront wedding held at the scenic Catamaran Hotel and Resort. They literally kicked off their shoes for this occasion, happily  digging their toes into the sand. What a great alternative to sore feet at the end of the night!

The entire event was marvelously spearheaded by Gina Hundley, owner and lead consultant of San Diego Weddings by Gina. She created a veritable tropical paradise for these two lovebirds, working with the couple to create their dream wedding.

The Flower Girls designed the florals, using lush, rich tropical flowers. I love the bride’s bouquet. It’s so striking with its variety of solid red blossoms against the white and sky blue colors of the bridal party.

Flour Power can be counted on for any theme!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Quapp!

I met this charming couple several months back when they came into the studio for a viewing session of their Engagement Shoot. It is my pleasure to witness their journey from engaged to happily married! They started their day at the Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park, a majestic location for some visually stunning pre-wedding shots. The ceremony and reception were held at The Prado just up the lane.

The Prado has dressing rooms for the wedding party. Nicole, with the help of her bridesmaids, gets dressed in her wedding gown.

The groomsmen give a toast to Jeremy in his last moments of bachelorhood.

Nothing says San Diego quite like the courtyard at The Prado with its Spanish style architecture surrounded by tropical foliage.

Kendra from Wholesale Flowers and Supplies created the vibrant florals and in the words of the bride, she is amazing.

I love the way she tied the exact color of the bridesmaid’s dresses into the table arrangements.

Nicole’s dad showed everyone how it’s done!

Guests had a great time dancing into the night…

The cake was baked by Flour Power Power Custom Cakery. I had the pleasure of using Flour Power for my own wedding cake years ago. They have been a part of San Diego weddings for over 25 years.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Shull. Here’s to many happy years together!
